Hi FDN Crew, I’m Whitney Morgan - data nerd, dancer, movie-buff, true crime fan, goat-cheese connoisseur - and not always in that order!
I’ve been an FDN practitioner since 2014 and an FDN Clinical Advisor for the past 8 years. I’m also a Licensed Acupuncturist, Primal Health Coach, and Certified Gluten-free Advocate. I recently completed a 3-month cohort with the Institute for Functional Medicine and am currently enrolled in their Functional Medicine Certification program.
In my private practice, I work primarily with those living with Hashimoto’s and other autoimmune disorders. As someone who has sent FOUR autoimmune diseases into remission, my driving passion is helping others reverse-engineer THEIR autoimmune issues and achieve the energetic, vital health that I know is possible!
I look forward to supporting you as you work with your own clients!
Whitney works with clients 16 years old and older.
Whitney's Scheduling Instructions:
1. My clinical notes form is web-based. Please be prepared to complete it at the time you schedule your appointment.
2. Once your appointment is scheduled, you’ll be prompted to upload lab reports for the case into the portal. Please take care of this step immediately after scheduling.
3. I ask that all FDNs who schedule with me activate their account in my Practice Better system. This step is necessary for you to gain access to Practice Better instant messaging. (it’s also the quickest way to reach me!) Note: Due to HIPAA regulations, I don’t accept lab reports and client health information via email.
4. If you’re experiencing technical issues, feel free to email me at whitney.morgan@afdnp.com
Failure to follow the above instructions may result in your session being canceled.
There is a no-show fee if you miss your scheduled call without providing at least 48-hour notice. The fee is $25. Your advisor may also cancel your appointment if the necessary paperwork has not been emailed to them at least 48 hours in advance in preparation for the call.
I’m Dr. Jill Philo – I graduated the FDN course back in way back in 2008 and spent the next 7 years working alongside Reed to grow the FDN program. Hard to believe, I was one of the first course mentors and the first clinical advisor! I was also a clinical advisor for BioHealth Labs back in the day. I left FDN in 2015 to focus on my private practice and to make a deeper dive into functional health, coaching and neuroscience, particularly around change. I know what a difference, we as FDN-P’s, make in this world. I’m now back as an FDN Clinical Advisor where I can indulge my true passion – which is helping other practitioners elevate their case management skills. Working together I’ll empower you to navigate complex cases, determine effective protocols, and become clear on the next steps so that you achieve unparalleled results with your clients.
Jill works with clients 16 years old and older.

Paula Reed is the founder of Paula Reed Wellness and co-founder of the Functional Health Alliance (with colleague/friend Whitney Morgan!). With a focus on balancing hormones and restoring gut health, she helps peri- and menopausal women (and men!) get off the hormone roller coaster and age with vibrant health. Paula has worked with several hundred clients/patients between her private practice and an integrative medical practice where she was the Wellness Provider for over five years. Holistic Nutrition was her first "love" when she entered the alternative health and wellness space and still believes it needs to be the foundation on which everything else is built. Her obsession with being a data nerd comes naturally, as she started her career as a systems engineer...an analytical mind comes in handy as a health detective, too!
Paula works with teenagers on up.

I am certified in functional nutrition by both the Nutrition Therapy Association and the Association of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioners. I take a special interest in helping high-achieving women with chronic digestive struggles. I successfully completed Dr. Allison Siebecker's SIBO Pro Course training, Margaret Christenson and Gayle Clayton's Mold Detox Diet Course for Practitioners, as well as post-graduate work in Chinese herbal medicine at the White Pine Institute. I am also Heartmath trained by the Heartmath Institute. I am also a Licensed Bodywork Therapist and hold a Master’s Degree in Japan Studies from the University of Washington. Prior to becoming a functional medicine practitioner, I lived, worked, and studied in Tokyo, Japan for 3 years, where I first experienced the power of Chinese medicine and nutrition. After many years of athletic training in my teenage and college years, my lifelong GI issues became increasingly problematic and challenging, and were never fully resolved by standard medical approaches. My experience of the power of natural health approaches during my Japan years, alongside the shortcomings of conventional medicine, catapulted me onto my current path of helping others struggling with chronic GI and autoimmune issues using nutritional, lifestyle, and functional medicine principles.
